Wills

In the absence of a will upon your death, state law determines who gets your property and a judge may decide who will raise your children. By making a will, you can make these decisions yourself. A basic will:

• leaves your property to the people and organizations you choose names someone to care for your minor children when you are gone
• names someone to manage the property you leave to your minor children, and
• nominates your executor.
